I love the idea of baby in her mom’s wedding dress! I would like to see more light on baby and a little more clarity on her face to really draw the eye to your subject. Very cute subject, great concept, nice job!

I love your picture! That is such a cute and creative pose. To improve, I think her hand by her head is a little bit blurry and I would prefer all of her to be in sharp focus. Also, I might brighten it up just a little bit (especially the background – her hair almost blends into it.) I also really love how you caught her in such a candid moment. You caught her when she was admiring the dress, and I think that makes the photo so personal and evokes more emotion. Great job!

What a sweet idea! Absolutely lovely. I’m wondering if it’s a little soft, or is there some movement? Make sure you’re shooting fast enough to keep any movement from causing blur. Also, you should be able to lighten it up/add contrast using levels. This is really a beautiful concept. A little more light will not only give you a sharper image with more contrast but also a portrait that you’ll definitely treasure forever!

Fantastic and sweet idea! I really like it. I also like the contrast of the delicacy of the wedding gown with the rustic feel of the background. I wonder if the ISO might have been a bit high as it seems to be a little grainy – perhaps it was exposure? That said, it truly is a lovely image with a nice use of composition and the leading line of her arm.

I love this! What a sweet and creative picture. As for the critique, I also would like to see more clarity in the face, or lightening it up a little. Other than that, this is a precious picture that will be fun to show her once she gets older. Great job!

That is a cute little girl. I loved the idea of the wedding dress.
I feel the picture is too dark and out of focus. I would focus on the face (preferably the eyes) and bring my exposure a little higher. I would use a tripod and have a faster shutter speed.
Kids are a challenge to photograph, but practice will help you improve!

Too too precious! I love it! I would love to see this in color. I think her hands are slightly blurred, but that can be fixed with a higher shutter speed. I love photos like this, and I’m sure she’ll love it on her own wedding day. :)

Great pic, great composition. Definitely agree that it needs to be brighter. Hopefully you shot it in RAW. In LR i’d bump up the exposure. The whites right now seem too gray. Then maybe and some contrast and bump up the blacks. Definitely keep an eye on the histogram if you’re in question. Once again great picture.

Aww…so precious! I love the idea of a little girl in her mommy’s wedding dress! I would have opened up more, or added so more lighting to the room. I find setting up in front a window so that light from the window lights my subject works great or me!! You should be able to pull it in your editing program and bump the exposure, brightness or fill light. If you have Lightroom and find the photo gets grainy you can use the noise reduce and that helps cut that out! Great job on framing! And such a cutie of a model!!

I love how you put this little girl in her mamma’s wedding dress! You could use a faster shutter speed to get her back hand sharper. I would have left just a tiny bit more space in the right side of the frame so the tip of her finger on her other hand wouldn’t be cut off. It’s a beautiful picture. She’s a cute little girl!

I love the story you picture tells of the girl in her mom’s wedding dress. Framing the shot so that the baby’s face is towards the upper left of the frame is nice composition. The diagonal line of the her arm draws the eye up to her face. I also like the vintage BW processing. Her eyes are a little soft. Manually setting the focus point on the eye nearest to the camera (or focusing holding the shutter button halfway down, and then recomposing) might have helped with that slight softness, although in a dark environment sometimes focusing can be a challenge. I would also suggest increasing the brightness a little, especially around her face to draw the eye to it even more. Nice photo, and thanks for sharing!

Like others have said, I, too, love the baby in mom’s wedding dress idea! I would like to see it a bit brighter and it might look better if her right hand was in focus. But it’s such a great pic and love the expression on baby’s face — so natural and unposed, which I love.

Adorable! I think the setting of the shot is great (nice rustic look with nothing distracting in the background). I’m wondering if the subject is a tad soft and possibly slightly underexposed. I love the creative concept!

Love this concept! You framed the subject very nicely. I think it would really pop if it was a bit sharper. I actually think the light is good here. You don’t want it to be blown out with the white dress against a dark background. Love the black and white and the sweet little one in this photo. Lovely!
