What a gorgeous photo with gorgeous colours. I think the ONLY thing I can say about it is I would have liked her eyes to be looking a little closer toward the camera, I’ve almost lost the connection with her because she’s looking so far off.
Looks like a great location. Great use of the rustic timber up against her soft & very feminine clothes. Love it.

I love the bokeh in the background! It’s simply gorgeous! If I were to take this shot again, I’d do it without the fence. It doesn’t add a lot in my opinion and I’d love to see more of the golden background. Her skin tone is flawless too! Great job!!

I love how moody your image is! One thing that I would do to improve the overall aesthetic is to turn her face until her nose does not cross over her far cheek; this would give the viewer more of a connection with her eyes and create a more pleasing pose. In my opinion, another improvement would be to decrease the red saturation to even some of her skin tone; this would enhance the warmth around her and the cool color of her outfit really well. Over all, I love your capture! It begs me to get to know this young lady. <3

Beautiful bokeh and scene! You did a great job; it looks very soft and feminine. I agree with previous posters that I would do the scene without the post – it would be a little “dreamier” without the post and it doesn’t add much for me. I would also agree about her face being turned a little more towards the camera. The only other cc I have is that the top of her head looks a little blue – might just be my monitor or the hair color – but maybe tone that down a little bit in post-processing? Great job with this beautiful light!

The range of colors is fantastic! They keep my eye interested and following all over the picture.

I’d have tweaked it one of two ways: 1. Leave the photo exactly as it is, but tilt the subjects head just a little bit closer to the camera. (She’d be looking more over your right shoulder) OR 2. do a full profile and change the orientation of the picture so she’s on the left looking right, and she’ll take our eyes with hers to see what it is she’s looking at.

Exposure, colors, cripsness – all perfect! The water literally sparkles behind her :) Great job!

Hi Juanita, thanks for sharing this picture with us! One suggestion I have is that I’d like to see a bit more of the model’s face, just a little bit. This would also take care of the eye problem as of right now I feel we are seeing too much of the white in her eyes instead of the iris. I think having her look away to such a degree gives her a bit of a sullen look, like she doesn’t want her picture taken. I am jealous of the wonderful skin tone you were able to capture in this picture! The overall color balance is amazing! Great work and thanks for sharing! :)

I just started taking photos I love these kind of shots, they’re my favorite. Looks great, although I think it would look better if the subjects face poped more, a little sharper on the face. The exposure needs to be changed, the skin tones and background should stand out from each a bit more.

I really like the emotion in this shot. My only critique is about her hair. I know it’s the reflection from the timber and the shadow, but I’d love to see the lovely hair and highlights look less blue. I love that you are higher than her. It’s a very flattering angle, and helps with your story.

You have a fantastic image here. I really like emotion you captured. My recommendation would be to turn the model’s face just a tad back towards the camera–this would allow a bit more connection, as well as get both eyes in focus. The top of her head also looks a little cool (but it could be her hair color?) Great work though, She’s a beautiful girl!

thank you for sharing! i really love her styling- the laid back, flowy look of her hair and top are beautiful. I also really like the angle of her face and the light softly highlighting her shoulders. I think my best ideas to improve would be to position her so the rimlighting accented her hair, too (the post is blocking it). The murky color of the water is a bit distracting for me, so perhaps shooting from a different perspective would minimize that? Perhaps some fancy pp trick could help make the wather more appealing, too. Or maybe just go to the Caymen Islands for a dreamy backround :). Love the soft look! She looks just lovely :).

Beautiful picture!! The girl is absolutely beautiful and I love the emotion that reads through the picture. The only thing that stands out to me in the picture is that it seems like her skin may be a little overly smooth?? Although she could definitely be one of those women who is very blessed by that. :-) Love the lighting! And I think you nailed the focus. Great job!!

Thank y’all! Makes me want to go back out and shoot it again! I definitely need to work on posing…it is a downfall!

The model is beautiful but I don’t like her face expression on this picture. It looks like she has a gorgeous eyes and you should have made her to look a little bit more towards the camera. I think that this picture has too fake colors. If there was a problem with white balance I would recommend making this picture black and white or sepia.

The sparkly effects in the bokeh are absolutely stunning! This is a great capture. The thing that catches my attention in the overall composition of the photo is her arms. If you could have pulled back just a bit, we could see all of her back hand, instead of just part of two fingers. The front arm just seems distorted, like it is twisted weird, and the point where it cuts off doesn’t help solve that mystery. Overall, I love how dreamy and magical it is.
