Newsletter
I have been doing a lot of thinking of how I can balance the blog, life and 3 kids. I decided that I need to change the newsletter from weekly to monthly. I hope y’all understand. I’m going to tweak the newsletter some and make it have some bang for your buck since it will only be once a month.
Critique Me
It’s the time many of you have been waiting for. The Critique Me series will be opening up for the next 12 images on November 12th. The first 12 people that sign up will be accepted. Remember though, in order to be eligible you MUST have critiqued at least two other images. Be sure to use the same email you use when critiquing when you sign up so I can double check your eligibility.
“I Clicked it Up a Notch” photography contest
Like I mentioned before, I have having to cut back on some areas. Unfortunately, this contest is one of them. I adore this contest! I really do! I LOVE seeing your images. However, the time it takes to go through each submission and comment on them is too much at this time. I hope to open this back up again but for now this month, October, will be the last contest.
You may or may not have heard but Facebook continues to make changes on how they show posts from Facebook pages. If you are a fan of our Facebook page and want to keep seeing our posts, name that macro, and other randomness. Be sure to hover over the “like” and click “Show in news feed” and add us to an interest list. I don’t know if this really works or not but I figure it is worth a shot.
HUGE giveaway
We celebrated our 2nd year blog-aversary last month! I have put together an A-MAZ-ING giveaway for you guys!! Seriously! I wish I could win the prizes! The theme is “My Favorite Things”. Yes, I’m channeling my inner Oprah and no, everyone does not win a car. Sorry!! But let’s just save there are HUNDREDS of dollars with or prizes!! It will be the last week of October so keep an eye out for it!!

Courtney, I couldn’t read this post without commenting. Thank you so much for your generous and honest posts. I miraculously stumbled on your blog the night before I got my first dslr a year ago. I devoured it then and have eagerly awaited every new post since. It saddened me to read your post a few weeks ago about your photo rut. Its hard to believe that this is the same person who took those AMAZING birth photos earlier this year. You will be your harshest critique. Be nicer to yourself. It is HARD being a mum. speaking of mums, I took a look at your mum’s blog after your ny trip together… She is one cool mama! I digress…

I wanted to say thanks, too, for all the time that you have put into this blog, Courtney! I have learned a lot, but also it has just been the thing to keep giving me nudges to try something new. I completely understand and admire your decision to cut back a bit though, too, and focus on your family! I do have one question – I’m kicking myself for not getting involved with the I Clicked It Up Notch contest before (I entered in August for the first time) – do you know of any other sites that do something similar?
