Blogging Questions and Answers Video
Lifestyle

Since this month marks my 3rd year of blogging I’m focusing on blogging tips this week. Just my way of paying it forward. I love talking about blogging just as much as I love talking about photography. I don’t know everything about blogging but after 3 years I have picked up a thing or two.

In this video I answer questions from ‘What are the most popular types of post?’ to ‘How do I increase traffic?’ to ‘Where do I start?’.

I mentioned several posts in the video and here are the links for you.

The SITS Girls blog – a great resource for bloggers

Why you need a newsletter – a post I wrote for Clickin’ Moms pertaining to photographers but bloggers can use this information as well.

Mailchimp – the company I use for my newsletter. Free up to your first 2,000 subscribers.

Bluehost – One of the best hosting services to start with. Super friendly, 24/7 support with someone who explains it in terms you understand.

7 things you need to know about blogging

OK i am completly new at this… I really have never commented on a blog so bare with me;) Ok i am completely new to photography and i find your page very helpful. I use to use a cannon t2i but i decided to venture out into the nikon family. I bought a nikon d5100. It has the 18-55mm lens. I recently took pics of my daughter outside on a cloudy day and i had it on manual. and i know raising the iso lets more light in, but every pic i took the flash came on. With the cannon when i raised the iso the pics were just fine and i didnt use the flash. I dont want to use the flash. Can you tell me what im doing wrong?

Hey! Check your camera settings to make sure you have flash turned off. It shouldn’t be popping up. Check your manual on how to do this :) You did a great job at leaving your first comment :)
