The Quiet Photographer – Megan Cieloha

When I first got my DSLR, I noticed one of my friend’s photos were way better than mine. I begged her to teach me what she was doing that I clearly needed to be doing. That was 6 years ago, and over the past 6 years she has continued to teach, guide, and answer my questions along my journey. I owe so much to my dear friend, Megan Cieloha.

She is an amazing teaching and photographer. She is also the complete opposite of me. She’s tall, I’m short. She’s graceful and I’m a mess. She has a clean house and mine looks like raccoons broke in. She is quiet and thoughtful and I tend to talk way too much.

Megan just launched her break out session at Clickin’ Moms, The Quiet Photographer, which couldn’t be better named. I received a copy and let me tell you, it is not only a beautiful PDF but is full of useful information on how to capture the your life using light and observing the situation.

Megan is a genius when it comes to light and she shares her tips and techniques in this break out.

I am constantly inspired by her beautiful images. She uses light to tell her stories and I find it so fascinating. I love learning from Megan and hearing her thoughts on images.

Not only does this break out session include an amazing PDF that is worth the money just to be inspired by her images, not to mention her insight into helping you improve your photos. But it also includes several editing videos that show you how she edits.

As I was reading through the PDF I was trying to figure out a favorite section to highlight. Honestly, that was a near impossible task as each section, I thought, yes this is so good! Then the next section, I was like yes, this is so good!

Plus, Megan shares her secrets on how she rocks self portraits. If anyone I know can rock a self portrait, it is Megan!

Trust me when I say Megan knows what she is talking about. She was my first teacher and I don’t doubt she can teach you through The Quiet Photographer.

If your house looks like raccoons broke in, then a pack of hyenas got inside of mine. I swear, this house is a disaster. Looks like an EF-5 tornado ripped through the living room, there are clean dishes in the dishwasher but a sink full of dishes in the sink, and laundry is piled high. But, instead of stressing over the mess, I’m packing up my 15 month old and we’re going to the park to play and swing and get dirt on our hands. I love Megan’s photographs, what a gift she has! I really need to invest in a class or two, I want to challenge myself outside my comfort zone. :)
