In this quick video tutorial, learn how to add watermark to an image in Lightroom 5. A task that may seem daunting is actually quite simple.
Although adding a watermark isn’t a sure fire way to keep people from using your image without your permission, it is a good way to label your images as yours and drive people back to your site if they like your work.
You must be a mind reader! I was going to ask you how to do this when I got home from work!
Maybe I do have magic powers :)
Thanks Courtney! This is perfect timing, as I just purchased LR 5 and am planning to switch over from Aperture (I’ve been using iWatermark in Aperture). I’ve got a lot of learning ahead to use a new editing program but, at least watermarking looks easy :) I appreciate all you share!!!
Wonderful! Enjoy LR5
Thank you for sharing this useful video tutorial. I need to do this for some of my hubby’s prints that I sell thru my website and Etsy store.
Glad you found it helpful!
Does this work for Lightroom 4 also?
Yes, it should :)
What if I don’t have a business or even a blog like you? Just use my name I guess? I always wonder about this. But then I feel like I’m trying to be ‘fancier’ (as my daughter would say) than I am. Thanks for everything!
I don’t think there is anything wrong with using a watermark even if you don’t have a business. I would just use your name :)
I love how versatile Lightroom is. I hasent been able to figure the watermark so I’ll definitely try it. Thanks for the tutorial!
