Convert an Image to Black & White in ACR

I really love black and white images and often when I am shooting I am thinking ahead of which ones I want to convert to black & white. This decision is based on a few different factors with one of the most important ones being the light. So today I have created a video tutorial for you where I convert a portrait image that I shot with window light using Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) and Photoshop CC 2014. I completed almost the entire edit in ACR with the exception of a curves layer in Photoshop.  The tone curve panel in ACR has my favorite tools to use when I am converting to black & white.

What are your favorite tips for converting to black & white?

This was a really informative tutorial! I love black and white and just have not mastered it at all. It scares me. You took a bit of that away, so now i will have to give it a try. Thank you.

Hi. I attempted to log in to view your video on converting to B&W, but got an error message stating that there was a problem with my password.
I registered for a course in May 2018.

Please help me check or reset my password so I can access this video as well as the course sessions I payed for (but postponed viewing until now).
    Thanks.
