One Window: Six Photos

I have a favorite window in my house. It is in my son’s bedroom and the sun rises through it and by the afternoon and soft light filters in. If I find myself struggling for inspiration, I always end up at that window.

As I was pouring through my image collection in the last few weeks, I noticed just how many photographs I’ve taken with that window and how much variety I’m able to get in that spot.

Do you have a favorite window? What window in your house is often used to illuminate your images?

Beautiful shot of the blinds on the window – fantastic light and shadow!

I have a huge set of windows that look out to the world that just happens to be the perfect frame for everything outside it! And they’re so big and fabulous with all their natural light they let in, they’re the perfect place for the sporadic “here’s what I cooked for lunch/breakfast” shot.

I usually go for the window in my living room. It’s usually the brightest room in the house, and has enough room that I can clear space when needed.

I have to go outside to get good shots. Our windows are all blocked by trees (unless I want to take a picture in the kitchen sink or on the toilet ;) ). My dream house will have LOTS of natural light!
