One thing that I love about photography is the endless possibilities  to create. Ten photographers could edit the same image and each would be different. I also love how a simple edit to a photo can really change the mood of the image.

In the video below, I’ll demonstrate how the same SOOC image can be processed in two drastically different ways. I shot in RAW, and used Adobe Lightroom (Cloud Version) for editing.

Brighter images tend to make me feel happier. He seems more content, even though he is playing with a device made for fidgeting.

 

To me, the darker edit is a bit more quiet. One might interpret boredom. He is reading a book and playing with the “all the rage” fidget spinner. The dark room may make him seem as if he is hiding. 

I hope this screen capture inspires you to play with your images in Lightroom to create different moods in your images.
