Hey friends!! I am so excited that there are new people following Click it Up a Notch each day! I want to get to know more about you!! I have created a few polls to help me learn more about you.
That was fun to see how people had voted, for source I found you on Facebook which wasn’t there.
Thank you so much for your comments yesterday, they meant a lot to me!
Great shot of your little girl, I love the leading line of the road markings, very striking!
I can’t believe I don’t remember how I found you!! I know it was just about when this blog first got started, so glad to have been with you from the beginning, you’re my favorite and go-to lady :)
Hmmm…. maybe you could add another choice for the last question, like, we are real life friends! I love learning and getting inspiration from your blogs. Baby Liam is almost 2 weeks now and I cannot wait to show you all of the special moments I have captured so far :)! Hooray for the first comment as a mama :)!
I am with Marissa. I was fortunate to have found Click It Up A Notch within it’s first month. Thanks Laura!! Now, I can call Courtney my blogging buddy that I hope to meet one day!
Oh boy, a poll! I just found your blog the day before yesterday. I love taking pictures, and IN THEORY I know how to shoot in manual mode, but it’s been years and years since I’ve done so, and I never remember any of it under pressure. HOWEVER! As of yesterday, I was inspired to forego the automatic settings, and stick with manual. And I’m so glad I did! It feels good to stretch my brain, and to really THINK about the choices I’m making to get the look I want. Thank you so much for the inspiration!
Hi, I answered your questions. I’ve only started to take pictures since I started by blog. I love it – but got lots to learn yet. I love your blog very informative. Thank you
I just found your blog recently and am so glad I did. Your post on starting to shoot in manual inspired me to FINALLY try out manual mode last week. I’m excited about the new step and everything I have to learn.
I have really enjoyed discovering your site. I am scared to make the jump to manual but really, really want to. I think I have a good eye for composing the photo, but am really uneducated regarding the camera itself. I need to invest some time, just when that is, I’m not sure:)
I wish I lived closer to you because when I read your posts I feel like I have just listened to you over a cup of coffee. You are very warm, very encouraging and very helpful. From my initial questions about how to figure out the CM courses (I figured it out!) to your suggestions for a tripod and remote (I bought them!), you have been very so supportive. I have recommended you to several friends and have links to your site on my FB page.
I look forward to continuing to learn through your wonderful posts.
Courtney, I know you’ve already had heaps of responses but I wonder if there should be an option in the first question about aperture and shutter priority as I feel there is a huge jump in understanding your camera between these modes and auto.
Hey, there Courtney!! I was intrigued by your title and had to click over from my reader. :) Loved your little comment about being friends in real life so that’s how I’ve heard of you — hehe! thanks for the giggle! I’ve enjoyed following along (and try to comment every once in a while so I’m not a total stalker!) and being inspired. :)
HI Courtney. I saw your blog from Chasing Rainbows blog which I also just stumbled upon from another blog from my wordless wednesday linky list of blogs. I am so glad to have found your blog. HUbby gave me my first ever DSLR last month for my bday,. I discovered how I love photography but have no knowledge about all the photography stuff. Thank you so much for making this blog. It is so helpful and informative. More power to you and your photography!
Welcome!! I’m glad you have found some useful info here!! Please let me know if you have any questions!! Sarah @ Chasing Rainbows has such a beautiful blog :O)
Hello Courtney, I came across your blog yesterday. I’ve already been reading a LOT here in this blog. it is awesome. I just started in manual mode – been in Aperture mode and auto for quite sometimes now, but I don’t seem to achieve THE photos that I would like to (similar to may other people’s pictures). I have a Nikon D7000 but 60% of the time, the photos that I take are more of a generic-looking (more like a point and shoot type of pictures). I’ve learned so much in just a day in your blog. So thank you. Now, I’ve gotta go practice them in manual mode.
Thank you for your time and effort you put into your passion. It’s nice to go to a site or Facebook page and be part of a community that shares the same love for photography!

Aww! Thanks!! You definitely have been around since the beginning! Thanks for sticking with me :O)
I answered the questions. Sweet photo.
I liked it a lot.
Beautiful photo
I answered as best as I could…except for the last one. I found you through CM :)
Can’t wait to see what you do with the data you collect ;) And I love that photo! Makes me think Mary Tyler Moore for some reason! lol
Love the colors in this photo! Can’t believe Emma is getting so big!
