I recently got a Lensbaby Composer Pro with a Sweet Optic 35mm. What a fun lens! I have been in a photography funk lately and this lens is bringing me out of it. A few photographers and I started a Lensbaby Love blog circle. We were inspired by another Lensbaby blog circle started by Heather Meyer.

Claire is the only person I don’t have to bribe in this house to take photos of lately. However, she may be the most challenging since she just started crawling and won’t sit still. Manually focusing with the Lensbaby is a challenge but a fun one!

Be sure to check out the other photographers in the group. Head over to the talented Kristen Ryan and keep going to complete the circle. Such beautiful images!

Love my lens baby! I have recently picked mine up again and have been playing around with it. Manually focusing with kids is definitely a challenge. So many creative options with this lens! I am going to check out the circle.

I have a LB Scout (which I kinda hate). Saving every penny to get my hands on a Composer :P

Love your shots. :) So bright~

Love these Courtney! And Claire is such a ham. I just want to give her a big hug (if she’d let me). :)

Thanks! I bet she would hug you now…she’s past the “Who is that crazy lady?” phase :)

I’m new to Lensbaby’s and was wondering if you put these lensbabys directly on your camera or if you attach it to your lens like a filter. I just love your photos and also struggling with being in a rut. These pictures look so fun and just wondering if a lens baby might be right for me :) Anything else I need to consider before buying one? Thanks!

It’s a separate lens that you purchase. It’s a lot of fun to play with :)

Good grief is that kid cute! I’m obsessed with the second one, please frame it! Thanks for letting me join your group. <3

I swear each time I see a lensbaby I think of large format class! I am going to still think about getting one. It will be interesting to see all the movements you can make with that lens.

What gorgeous models you have! Isn’t the lensbaby *great* for getting you out of a rut? I bought one this past winter for that reason alone! I can’t wait to see what the others in your circle have come up with- it is a tricky lens to learn, and I’m still learning.
If you ever do another lensbaby circle in the future and are looking for participants, let me know- I’d love to be included!
Also- follow lensbaby on Pinterest- they’re always posting wonderful inspiration!

I just love that first picture! I’ve been seeing more and more lensbaby shots lately and I’m thinking I might need to add this lens to my “wish” list. :) I love the creativitiy it challenges you to use. Off to the next blog in the circle…

You’ve got some seriously cute models, Courtney :) I love my Lensbaby sooooo much. Since I’m stuck with some dodgy kit lenses, I prefer my Composer over them on any day. Funny enough, my favourite images I took of my daughter are 99% Lensbaby made. I’ve just started a tumblr roll that’s solely Lensbaby. I totally agree with shooting kids with a manual focus lens is quite a challenge but when you get that sweet spot right, it’s just amazing!! I’m quite new to photography and I’m so happy I’ve found this lens early on into shooting. I’ve just subscribed to your RSS feed so I won’t miss the next circle :) I’d love to learn from you ladies.
