You know how much I love this blog circle that forces me to slow down, take a photo of all 3 of my girls, and write them a letter. Be sure to check out the other two letters in our circle this month. Start with Laurie’s letter.
Dear girls,
Stand up for each other.
You are sisters.
There is a fun quote that says something like “If you mess with a big/little sister there is always a crazier little/big sister you don’t want to mess with.” I wish I knew who said that. But it is true. Make sure people know that the three of you stand up for each other.
If one of your friends comes to the house and says let’s not let your sister play with us. Stand up for her.
If you hear that someone has said something ugly about your sister. Stand up for her.
If you see your sister struggling with her friends. Stand up for her.
It may seem easier to side with your friend and not take your sister’s side but you need to stand up for her.
Whether it is your big sister or your little sister. Stand up for her.
Remember, we will move a lot. You will be forced to make new friends a lot. But there are two best friends who will always be there where ever we move.
Your sisters.
Stand up for each other.
I love you,
Mommy
What a beautiful letter and message, “stand up for her”. I love my sister to pieces and we had each other’s backs growing up, and now. It’s something I could never be without.
Currently I’m just saving them to put in a book for when they turn 12? I don’t know yet :)
I think you meant for this reply to go to the comment below me :)
Yes :) Thank you.
I just love these! Do you read the letter to them each month or just save it for them?

Oh heavens!! I absolutely love this idea! Thank you so much for sharing and what a wonderful message! Love you blog!
Great photo and lovely words. I have two boys very close in age, and I’m constantly reminding them that friends come and go, but brothers are forever…treat each other as treasures!
Best advise and it’s what I have stressed to my girls all along. My youngest is a junior in high school and my oldest graduates with her masters degree in a week. They are only now realizing how important and how true it really is! I still give them little reminders and post “sister” quotes to their fb. It’s all about reinforcement to make it last.
Love it! I tell my girls this all the time. Sweet photo of the girls!
