Welcome to Our New Monthly Contributors
Lifestyle

I am so excited to tell you guys about this awesome new feature of our blog!!! For several months I have been wanting to add a little something new this year. I decided to ask some of the amazing photographers I have gotten to “know” over the past year or two if they would like to join my team and be monthly contributors. All of these ladies inspire me daily with their creativity and talent! We are so lucky to have them!!

Each week on Thursday you will get to read a post written by one of these amazing ladies. I love the idea of hearing what others have to say and I look forward to learning from them.

Please help me welcome our new monthly contributors!

I am a natural light/on location photographer. I love all types of photography and digital design. My passion for photography began in college when I worked for a premier portrait photographer. I truly became hooked after I became a mom several years later. Photography and blogging became my creative outlet when I had free time. I educated myself through mentorships/classes/books and took the opportunities that came my way to shoot for others. Before I knew it my passion very quickly evolved into a business in 2005. I have been juggling being a mom (just had my fourth!) and doing photography ever since. The art of photography has been such a blessing and gift in my life in so many ways.

My photography started 10 years ago in high school with film and the darkroom. My hubby bought my first DSLR when we were dating back in 2006. Through the years I’ve studied, taken classes, and upgraded cameras and lens. Photography has become my biggest passion, outside of my family of course. My beautiful baby girl pushed me to learn more when she was born in 2010 so I could capture her growing up. I have had so much help learning my passion that I love to give back to beginners who are eager to learn as well.

I’m a natural light photographer in Houston, TX. I love photographing real life connections, emotions, & interactions wherever I can: portraits, weddings, personal photos, you name it. I can thank my (almost four year old) son, Garrett, for giving me the push I needed to explore something that was ALWAYS an interest to me my whole life because I desperately wanted to take pictures of him that I was proud of. I can also thank my dad (who has always had a camera on him for as long as I can remember) for his support in this – he’s always been there for me through thick & thin. I don’t know about you but I love photography & love learning. I am so glad to be here on Click It Up A Notch with all of YOU!

I am a stay at home mom of three kids. Ben, Delia, and Brayden. Photography is my passion, my outlet, and my sanity. I have loved art all of my life, but really started getting into photography once my oldest son, Ben, was born. When Ben turned a year old, he dropped my point and shoot in the kiddie pool. Lucky for me! My next camera was a DSLR. Shortly afterward, I took my first class at a local college and I was hooked. I wanted to learn everything I possibly could to take better photos of my family. I love that with photography, there is always room to grow and learn. So, four years later, here I am! I’m still trying to soak up every tidbit of knowledge there is to know about photography. Hopefully I can share with you a thing or two that I have learned on my journey and learn something new myself.
