Excited about our Have You Met series where I showcase YOU, the photographers of our community. We had over 400 photographers apply for the series in less than a week. I can’t wait to showcase the talented photographers. There is a mix of hobbyist and business owners as well as full-frame and crop sensor users. This may be my new favorite part of the site.
This post contains affiliate links. Thanks in advance for supporting Click it Up a Notch. I am not longer accepting applications for this series.

No.01Tell us a little about yourself and your photography journey.
Hi I’m Tiffany! I am a wife to one amazing husband and a mama to two beautiful girls and one rescue mutt. We live in the suburbs of Atlanta GA. I bought my first micro four-thirds camera in October 2010 when I was pregnant with my oldest daughter, Abbie. I really just wanted to be able to take cute pictures of her and I had no idea I would fall in love with photography like I did! In 2011 I basically floundered around and tried to learn photography and pick up things when I could. I fell in love with macro photography in January 2012, when I was shooting a project 365 and very quickly ran out of ideas for things to capture. I love noticing the details, so macro and I become fast friends.
In July 2012 I bought my first DSLR – a Nikon d800. I figured I should go big or go home! I got really serious about learning photography and spent a ton of time reading and taking pretty much every breakout on Clickin Moms. In 2013 I launched my portrait business and in 2014 I worked more on macro photography and expressing myself through my art. 2015 has had a rough start for me on a personal level but I cannot wait to see what it holds.

No.04Where do you find your inspiration?
I find inspiration all around me, especially when I slow down and notice things I wouldn’t otherwise. I am inspired by pretty light and little details.

No.05What type of background do you have? Self taught? Formal training? Mentor?
I am pretty much self-taught. I took shooting 101 and shooting 205 at Clickin Moms and they were both amazing. I read a lot of blogs and buy a lot of ebooks and things like that. There are always a million things I want to learn about photography and editing – the list never seems to get shorter!

No.06Are you currently doing any photography projects? If so, what?
I was doing a project 365 for 2015 but I put it on hold for three weeks while my older daughter was in the hospital and then recovering afterwards. I just started back on March 1 and I’m excited to be shooting daily again. I am also part of a project called The Motherhood Collective with some amazingly talented women. We are all striving to document the beauty of motherhood by getting in the frame with our littles once a month.

No.07If you could only use one lens for a year, which would you choose?
Eeeek, so hard! I only have two lenses, but I really NEED them both. If I had to choose, I would choose my 105mm macro. Asking this question is almost like asking which child is my favorite ;)

This is hard because I have so many friends who are AMAZING photographers. But I have to say my friend Amy of Sweet Caroline Photographie. Her work is just stunning, her post processing is flawless, and she is great at capturing connection.

My favorite way to display photos is with gallery walls of frames. I have five of them in my house; here are examples from my youngest daughter’s nursery and my dining room.

I want to learn more about Photoshop. It is so powerful and I feel like I have been learning for years but still I only know .002% of what the program is capable of.
