Will you join me and Kim at SHUTTER|bag for a photography challenge for the month of June? It is simple, I promise. Pick up you camera and take a photo every single day for 30 days. That’s it. See, I told you it was simple. You don’t even have to use your camera if you would prefer to rock your iPhone.
We all want to improve our photography. Who doesn’t want to get better at something they love? Well, you aren’t going to improve your skills by sitting at your computer and reading about photography all the time. You need to get out there and apply what you are learning.
1. Pick up your camera everyday.
Make sure you keep your camera in an area that is easy to get to. I leave mine on my desk or kitchen counter but most of the time my desk. I always know it’s there so when I see something I want to capture I know where to go.
2. Keep a list of ideas.
I found this very helpful when I was working on my 365. Somedays you won’t find the perfect shot staring you in the face. If you are looking for daily prompts, check out my ebook – The Unexpected Everyday which has 30 skills and daily prompts to help you improve your photography.
3. Upload and edit those images.
Don’t let them sit on your camera. Upload and edit them daily. Once you have edited them, export them so they are ready for print.
4. Share your photos.
Use the hashtag #clickaday if you share your photo on Facebook, Instagram or Google Plus. Don’t forget to follow me and Kim on Instagram as well so you can see our photos, @clickitupanotch and @shutterbagusa.
Are you in? Leave a comment below with a link to your IG or Google Plus so we can follow you and encourage you. I hope you join us!
Don’t forget to follow each other!
