Personally I would like more contrasts. Darker a little grittier. I think that will add a little more detail. IMO

I MUST say it is my Husband & I.
We had gone out for a run, and He was taking a 5 minute nap, I ran for my tripod, camera and remote.

I love the emotion I get from this shot. I would have maybe have brought his head forward just a bit. Not so far back to keep from getting the neck wrinkles and definitely pump contrast. Love the composition and camera angle. Great job!

I love the idea of this picture. I would also love to see it in a different angle, perhaps a high angle looking down at the man (maybe with his eyes open?). The exposure seems a bit high, but I think playing around with the contrast would give it more oomph. At the same time, I like to look at it the way it is, it’s an interesting picture!

I love the Black and White although like already mentioned I would have bumped up the contrast a bit. You captured great emotion and made us feel connected. Great job.

Great emotion in this picture! That comes through crystal clear. I think maybe a slightly faster shutter speed would sharpen your focus. It seems a touch soft. Also, I agree that playing with the contrast and/or black point in your editing would really give this shot that little extra bit of wow factor. Good composition within the frame.

Interesting shot! I like your use of a diagonal. I would add more contrast and position the male model’s head so you can see more of his face and he’s not leaning so far back. I think this has a lot of potential!

The first thing I wonder when looking at this photo is what kind of shoot is this? Is it couple boudoir perhaps? Pulling back from your subjects may offer more of the story. However, up close images are beautiful in their own right too. In that case, I would have ensure the focus go to her eye with a lower f/stop and higher shutter speed. In my experience of portraits, f/4.5 is best suited for a group of people, give or take a specific situation. As others have mentioned, you want more contrast so the overall gray doesn’t wash out the detail and richness of the image. His head is at an odd angle, which may have worked had you not been so close, but you never really want to be looking up someone’s nose either. Another possibility is to have moved around the couple and shot at different angles. You want to think of how this couple would perceive themselves in the photo and what they may be able to do with it when you deliver.

I think the diagonal and close shot was good for this type of shot. I can’t help feeling though, that it looks a bit “vampire”-ish with the pose because the guy almost looks dead. I think it could also be a little sharper, as the whole thing looks a bit out of focus. I think black and white was a good choice though!

I just love the emotion in this shot. I would love to see more contrast. Great use of angles and composition.

I really like the idea of this image. I think the black and white conversion adds more emotion. Like others suggested it needs more contrast to add some depth. I find the pose a little awkward my first thought was he looks dead. Unless that was the angle you were going for I would suggest playing around with the poses and angles. Maybe something with them more facing each other or if his neck wasn’t laying on the chair just his head and chin slightly tilted up would still express that pleasure emotion. Overall great job!

I love the idea of this picture, the intimacy between the two of them, but he seems to be pulling his head away from her, so it feels a little awkward. I would like to see a little more of her face too. The black & white works, and I think it would work if the overall picture was darker.

I love the romance of this shot and I love the softness of the black and white. I would not have shot straight up the guys nose though. Perhaps him sitting up with her gently kissing his neck. Overall I like it.

I love the emotion in this photo. You feel like you are peeking into someone’s intimate life. I would bring the mans head forward a little bit. His neck looks a little too elongated and unnatural. I love the choice of black and white. Always classic.

This picture immediately interested me; I wanted to know more about this couple. It is intimate and emotional. As others have suggested, I would like to see more contrast in the black and white, and wonder if the photo would convey even more passion if it was shot from a different angle. Black and white was a good choice, however. Thank you for sharing the picture with all of us!

Hi, I think this is a great photography with great emotions makes you think, I think it needs to higher contrast to make the photograph pop, I do agree maybe the aperture needs to be higher.

    Great job!

I really like that this image instantly tells a story. I would agree with the others that increasing the contrast would help a bit. I wouldn’t increase it too much though because I love the dreamy quality of the image!
