Thank you Allyson Snowden for submitting the following image. Also, a big congrats to her as well she just got married a few weeks ago!
Settings: ISO 200, SS 1/125, f/4.0
Congrats on getting married!! What a cutie you have there :) I’d love to see more of the doll she’s holding, at least the doll’s complete head, I think it would emphasize the connection she has with the dolly. I’d also like to see a little more of her face, maybe by getting a little lower (you did a great job getting down to her level) or to the left. Thanks for sharing your work!!
I really want to pinch your little girls cheeks off! I like your exposure and the background is beautiful. I think I would get down lower to see the rest of the doll and move my positioning so the tree is to the side (I tend to grow trees out of people’s heads so I understand). Very cute girly!!!
I love the emotion you were trying to capture here. I would like to see this image a little brighter though and at a different angle so you could get the whole doll in the frame. Maybe stand above her and focus on those pretty eyelashes. I agree with previous comment about the location looking beautiful and it also looks like you were shooting during that golden hour! Awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Such a sweet little girl!! I love how the background is still blurred and all the focus is on her :) I would of pulled out to see more of scene, maybe even made it vertical to capture depth from the tree in the background. I like all the colors too, from her shirt to the grass!
What a pretty little girl! I like how you captured her looking at her doll. I think I would have tried to recompose the shot so that the tree is not directly behind her and so you can see more of the doll. I think you did a good job with the focus and I love the colors!
Such a pretty little, and you’ve really captured the connection she has with her doll! Her skin tone looks lovely too. One thing I would try differently would be to recompose the shot so that you can see the doll’s face too, and also to have tried a different angle where the tree isn’t directly behind her head. Nice job, and thanks for sharing! Congratulations on getting married!
Congratulations on your wedding :) The sweet little girl is adorable! I love her pig tails :) I love how you captured her emotion. What I would do different is take a giant step back so we could see more of the doll she was holding (more of the action in the shot/not just her head filling the frame) or even a different angle, like camera on the ground shooting up so we could see her face more clearly. Great coloring in the photo!
Precious subject!!! The little girl is precious. The only thing i can suggest is either including the full body of the doll or not at all. It looks a little strange having only part of the head in the picture. The lighting is a little harsh as well. But other than that it is a fantastic pic!
What a sweet moment with a beautiful little girl! Personally, I like to use “close-up” shots to highlight a particular detail – eyelashes, eyes, lips, etc. – something specific that will draw your eye in. It seems you are trying to tell a story here and I would like to see more of your story. Try putting a little more distance between you and the subject. You can still fill the frame with her, but I would like to see the baby doll in the photo as well. I want to see what she sees, too, so that I can get more of a feel for the emotion she portrays. I love the golden lighting you captured. :-)
How adorable! To me there is too much shadow on her face, and her face is down too low. I think I would have shot a little more from below and tried to get her to face the sun a little more. I love the exposure of both the subject and the background!
Such a precious moment and oh what a cutie! I love the natural look of it. I feel like its slightly under exposed. I would have maybe opened up a bit more by raising my ISO to 400. I would have also liked to see more of her expression with her doll, so maybe getting a little lower to capture that. But I also know how difficult it is to capture moments like these of children! Great job on the crisp, sharpness!
