I learned how to slow down and really think about my shot this week. I realize if I put a little thought into my photos then I can step away from them looking like snap shots!
Now it’s your turn. What did you learn this week?? You know the old saying “You learn something new everyday!” Take pictures of it and share with us!! Some weeks you may learn a photography skill and want critiques. GREAT!! Share and ask for them! If you didn’t learn a new photography skill but something about yourself or life, that is great too! Post a picture and tell us what you learned. Can’t wait to see your pictures and find out what you learned!!
As always
1. Post one photo and tell us what you learned.
2. Link your permalink, not your blog address, check out the I Learned Tab if you need help with this.
3. Attach our button to your post
4. Ask for critiques if you want them and post your settings
5. Leave a comment on 5 other posts
6. Open Thursday 8am – Sunday 8am (Japan time) or Wednesday 6pm – Saturday 6pm (EST)
The winner of the May “I Clicked it Up a Notch” photography contest is Robyn at The Farmer Family. Congrats on this beautiful image of your daughter!! You definitely clicked it up a notch this much!! Be sure to grab your button!! Thanks again for all the fabulous entries!!
Are you starting to notice a trend that I’m always the first to comment??? LOL Anyways, yay for slowing down. I still need to work on that.
Congrats to The Farmer Family! I love that photo!
I love it!! :O)
Great advice and something I really need to work on right now. With the move, I’ve not put much thought into my photos and I was just thinking the other day that they are all looking so snapshot-ish right now, so your words will be with me in the days ahead.
OH.MY.WORD…Thank you so much! This win is a huge blessing and encouragement.
Congrats!! It is beautiful!!!
I llove what you learned and your shot is sweet. Which workshop are you taking right now or are you?
Congrats to Robyn. That photo is so sweet
How you look at a scene really does make a difference. This is a lovely shot. I found you over at Nancy’s “A Roural Journal”. Your button wouldn’t allow me to copy today, so I added a link instead.
Awesome! Thanks for leaving a comment!!
I love all the whites and soft tones in this photo. It feels cozy. :)
Great advise Courtney, I should learn to do that more too.
Great website too, there’s always lots of interesting information on here. Thanks!
That is a beautiful shot, I love the way you framed it. She is going to cherish this when she’s older.
Love this shot and the way the door frames her. Excellent!
Thank you for hosting. I’m a follower, and this hop is found on a page on my site that lists more than 250 hops, memes, and photo challenges… some for each day of the week. Check under the header for the link to that page. I’ve also just started a BlogFrog community that focuses on hops, carnivals, memes, and photo challenges. Go to http://theblogfrog.com/1504201 to visit & participate.
I hope you’ll visit me soon. I follow back!
