Photography Books – Why Didn’t I Think of That? Wednesday
Lifestyle

Want some amazing tips?? Check out these digital photography books! I really don’t think you can begin to learn about shooting on manual without these books.

Understanding Exposure by Bryan Peterson is amazing! It has beautiful pictures and explains things on a more technical level. This was the very first book I got on photography after reading many rave reviews. I don’t regret buying it at all! I have yet to read it cover to cover but I think it is one of those books that you pick up, read some, and then go out and practice it.

Digital Photography by Scott Kelby is such a wonderful read :O) My brother-in-law bought me this one last year for Christmas and I read the book cover to cover in one afternoon. I love how Scott Kelby writes like he is talking to you as a friend. There are so many helpful tips in here. I’m sure I will be pulling from here on some of my “Why didn’t I think of that?” Wednesday tips. It covers everything from portraits, sports, flowers, and general tips to get better photos.

I just got the second edition of Digital Photography by Scott Kelby in the mail this week and I love it as much as I love the first one :O) In fact, I have them both open on my desk right now. I can’t even begin to explain the wonderful tips he gives :O)

Laura, a friend we have in common, told me about your site. I have read the Kelby books and they are extremely helpful, which I contribute to the way he writes. I’ll check out the first one. Thanks for sharing helpful hints. Like so many others, I love photography, so I enjoy learning about it.

Amber, aren’t the Kelby books wonderful! I saw on your blog that you are starting to shoot on manual :O) I started for the same reason you want to..couldn’t afford to have a photographer take our pictures all the time. Let me know if you have any questions :O) Hope you will join in our Picture Shares!!

  • I have these books and I love them. I suggest them to everyone. There are shelves of photography books out there that flew over my head, but these resonated with me and I actually learned something.

    Great share!!!
